Wii U Miiverse update enables users to post on friend's feeds

You no longer have to enter a Community

A new Miiverse update could change the way you post on the service. In the past you've had to post directly into Communities but now you can post on your friend's activity feeds.

This makes Miiverse more like Twitter (only with a higher character limit!) as you can chat with friends without having to enter a dedicated community. With so many communities now on Miiverse, it should make it easier to join in conversations with friends.

Miiverse has been updated many times since Wii U launched in November 2012. Nintendo increased the character limit and made it possible to use Miiverse on PCs and Smartphones while the service will also be rolled out for 3DS in the future.

What do you think of this latest update?

    Great news!

Two things I'd like them to add in a future Miiverse update.

    1. Let users start their own communities, similar to how groups on facebook operate. Obviously they'd have to be heavily moderated.

    2. Add the return key back into Miiverse. I miss being able to do paragraphs!

Amazing news. All I hope for now is the ability to post out your own statuses/messages to all your followers like Facebook and Twitter. Sometimes you have a thought which isn't related to any particular game that you can't really post in a community.

There are 5 things that NIntendo should add to Miiverse

    1) Have your own "Nintendo" Avatar profile. Having the Mii characters as your profile picture is cute idea, but I would love to have more options to have any avatar picture (Have a Mario Picture, or Link picture as an avatar), like they did with XB360.

    2) Zoom in on pictures when your trying to do "Pointillism" and the checkerboard shading

    3) Save your posts before posting them to the public.

    4) Edit your post if you notice you made some grammatical issues.

    5) Have a group chat with 3 or more players.
