Hidekia Kamiya is a surprising man. He takes games in directions (and, whisper it, to consoles) that others would be terrified to, he'll occasionally CAPS-shout "your mom" at fans, and today he took to Twitter to look back at the development of The Wonderful 101 - specifically the fact that Miis weren't included.
We tried to make it possible to join your own mii with TW100 as a hero. We hope we can do it in TW102.— 神谷英樹 Hideki Kamiya (@PG_kamiya) January 16, 2014
Whether he means that a Mii would simply have become one of the 1-double-O, or a fully-fledged main character we're not sure, but it's another facet to 101's strange development process, which began as a brawler that with a cast made up entirely of Nintendo and third-party characters.
It's also nice to see that 101, despite its struggle at retail (if not Team ONM's hearts), he's still holding on for a sequel. I'll be loudly and irritatingly hoping for one, Miis or no.
Thanks to Nintendo Everything for the spot.
