Film Composer Signs Up For The Conduit

He's worked on Transformers and Resident Evil

The Conduit is not only aiming to be the best looking game on Wii but it's also got big plans for the soundtrack. High Voltage has roped in the composer Diego Stocco for the first-person shooter that's due out in 2009.

Diego Stocco has worked on films such as Resident Evil: Extinction, Transformers, Jumper and Lady In The Water. He has also some videogame pedigree having worked on Justice League Heroes and Soul Calibur IV.

Michael Metz, Audio/Visual Director at High Voltage, enthused about working with Stocco. "Working with Diego was such an enjoyment. When I heard the first track he made for The Conduit, I literally got the chills, it was exactly the mood and mix of sound design and music we were looking for."

Meanwhile Stocco said: "The Conduit unveils incredible scenarios during the game, with a richness in terms of details and action that is very inspiring for a composer. I'm very excited to be part of The Conduit; it's the kind of project that makes me push the envelope in terms of sound creativity."

One of my favourite focal aspects of videogames is the musical score, if the musical composition isn't up to scratch the game loses alot of credit. Hopefully this guy can do the Conduit justice.

The films he worked on seem to be terrible but I can't comment on the latter in the list as I haven't actually seen it.

This is honestly looking like nintendo's halo, hell it may even have a load of sequels and stuff just like it. Fingers crossed for vehicles.

Well this is interesting. Hopefully when the game comes out in 2009 the soundtrack will be good. Plus, we need a decent multiplayer FPS on Wii (Red Steel's multiplayer is rubbish).

never played red steel, but from what i have heard about it i think i will wait till red steel 2 and hear if it improves. and i agree that the wii needs better First person shooters. metroid prime 3 was excellent, so it'll be good for a third party to learn from it.

Medal of Honour Heroes 2 out does Metroid Prime 3 for controls and has Online (32 - No friend codes). Conduit has outdone both many times over if you watch these two videos.
