Animal Crossing will be released for Wii in the UK in December, Nintendo has announced. The company has also revealed that the game will now be called Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City rather than City Life.
Let's Go to the City allows players to create their own perfect life in the country, but also introduces a new city area to explore.
As ever you'll take control and shape the world around you from decorating your house to creating constellations in the heavens. Start the game in your own quiet town and meet many animal characters along the way as you collect new furniture, wallpaper and carpets to make your house a home. Alternatively, you could spend your time fishing and gardening.
When you take a bus to the city you'll be able to visit Gracie Grace, the large and exclusive department store that sells special items and furniture to customise your home. You can also customise your own character at the hair salon with your favourite Mii and compete with other players selling and bidding for items at the auction house.
As for online options, you'll be able to use Wi-Fi Connection to send friends letters and items from the post office located in each town. You can also travel to a friend's town and explore their unique Animal Crossing environment or invite them to visit you.
Then there's the Wii Speak microphone which sits on top of your television and enables you to chat to your friends.
Of course Animal Crossing fans will already know a lot of this but there's an extra treat for them. Owners of Animal Crossing: Wild World on the Nintendo DS will be able to transfer some character data to Wii. The Nintendo DS can also be used as a 'suitcase' allowing players to take their character to and from a friend's Wii console to explore their Animal Crossing world.
