Carol Vorderman will help Nintendo bring the fitness message to DS this summer with a new title designed to keep you active and healthy. Active Health With Carol Vorderman will be released on 7 August and it links up with Wii Fit.
Yes the old Countdown presenter has given up maths in favour of fitness to front this new title. Although she will be calculating your BMI!
Carol will also provide you with a personalised programme outlining how many calories you need to consume and how much exercise you should do to maintain or lose weight. She will then act as your motivational guide throughout.
It seems like a mix of Cooking Guide and Walk With Me rather than a DS version of Wii Fit. There are some 70 healthy Carol Vorderman recipes to follow, a meal planner and it also comes with a pedometer so you can track your steps.
You can put the pedometer in your bag or pocket and Carol will give you a daily step target. At the end of each day you point the Activity Meter at the Nintendo DS, click a button and the data will be sent to your DS. You can also add any other exercises you have completed during the day.
There are some mini-games too, including one which converts your steps into miles so you can attempt to walk the distance between Land's End and John O'Groats.
