Okami Coming To DS

It's called Okamiden. Excited?
Okami fans should be pleased to learn that a new version of the classic Capcom adventure is on the way to DS.

It's called Okamiden and Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu is reporting that it will be released in Japan next year.

The original game was developed by Clover who have since folded and considering the lead designer and producer left to found Platinum Games (MadWorld), it looks as if it will be in different hands this time around.

The original had you playing as a wolf who had to bring colour back to the world by painting with the Celestial Brush. If anything, a DS version makes more sense, as we'd imagine you'd be able to paint with the DS stylus.

Check out the first image below (via Kotaku).

There is no news of a UK release date yet. How much do you want it?

This is really quite awesome news!!! :D:D:D Only thing is how are they going to translate the amazing graphics of the Wii version into a tiny DS?

Well hopefully you move around with the d-pad and leave the stylus exclusively for the celestial paintbrush, apart from that worry I'm over the moon about this. :D
