A few weeks ago we told you who we'd like to see in the next Smash Bros. game. Of course, it was all pure fantasy - we don't know if Nintendo will ever make another Smash Bros. game but we like to dream so we came up with our list of characters before asking you for your suggestions on the ONM Forum. Our choices were Professor Layton, Little Mac, Mii, Toad, Maxwell, Animal Crossing Boy & Girl, Giratina, Mega Man, Phoenix Wright and Travis Touchdown. Now here are your choices!
Crash Bandicoot: Suggested by Shizle "He has lots of good options for moves," argues Shizle. "Maybe his Final Smash could be that gun that fires wumpa fruit." Aaah... wumpa fruit. While Sonic collects rings and Mario gorges on mushrooms, Crash Bandicoot picks up wumpa fruit and it's great when he gets hold of his gun and fires the fruit at enemies. Crash is a good choice - while Mario and Sonic have always been considered as the main rivals, people may forget that there was a time in the later 90s when Crash took over from the hog. We'd love to see Crash fighting Mario! Who would win?
Wolf Link: Suggested by Dooby "I would love to see Link in his wolf form, with Midna riding on back," says Dooby. "She would have some very powerful moves and the wolf has the speed. The Final Smash would be brilliant too. In Twilight Princess you held B to create a field, then you could release B and Wolf Link would strike all enemies within the field. This could be a deadly Final Smash." Too right, but with a move like this wouldn't everyone want to play as Wolf Link? Still, Link changing into a wolf was one of our favourite moments in Twilight Princess so we'd love to do it all over again in Smash Bros.
Blaziken: Suggested by NintendoAllSTAR NintendoAllSTAR also suggested Deoxys but we like the sound of Blaziken even if it's a less obvious choice. As NintendoAllSTAR explains: "Blaziken's just such a great Pokémon. I love the humanoid ones the most and the fact he excels in fighting just makes him a top choice for Smash Bros. His brilliant legwork would make him the Hwoarang (a character in Tekken) of Smash Bros. and in combination with the fire element, he could execute some pretty fancy attacks. Sky Uppercut would be an obvious recovery." We could also see Blaze Kick being his Final Smash. And talking of leggy Pokémon we'd like to see in the game, how about Hitmonlee?
Bomberman: Suggested by Lukeo10 Like us, Lukeo10 thought that Toad would be a good choice and he also picked Bomberman. As Lukeo10 says he could "throw bombs and put opponents to sleep." He also suggests that Bomberman could bomb himself for a recovery move. By putting a bomb under himself, suggests Luke, he could be blasted high up into the air. Not sure about that Recovery idea, but with a vast array of bombs at his disposal, the 'man would be a great choice for Smash Bros.
Harry Potter: Suggested by Cormsie "He could team up with Ron and Hermione and perform a powerful curse for a Final Smash, " says Cormsie. Her suggestion of Avada Kedavra is a bit harsh though. For starters it would kill everyone on the screen instantly and secondly, this unforgivable curse isn't exactly Harry's style. You could understand it if you were fighting as Voldemort or Professor Snape but not Harry. It would be good to see him flying around on his broomstick and perhaps using his Patronus. Although, that may only work on Dementors...
Shy Guy: Suggested by sonicfever Shy Guys are up there with our favourite Mushroom Kingdom characters and it seems sonicfever agrees. "He could have a Fly Guy suit that he could switch into and fly around like Pit in Brawl." We like sonicfever's idea of Shy Guy using his vehicle from Mario Kart. "His Final Smash could be ramming people with a giant Kart," he says. Admittedly there are quite a few Mushroom Kingdom characters in Smash Bros., but one more couldn't hurt, right?
Amaterasu: Suggested by ShadowHyrule "His Final Smash would be the brush, controlled by the Wii Remote," says ShadowHyrule. Not a bad idea but how would it work? Well, you could quickly draw a bridge to get back to a level when you've fallen off, you could slash the Remote for normal attacks or you could draw a loop to create a strong gust of wind to knock everyone over. We love it! We'd also love to play in an Okami-themed level that would fill with colour if Amaterasu won a fight.
Earthworm Jim: Suggested by ploiper We haven't seen Earthworm Jim in action for a while although he is making a comeback in a WiiWare game. It would be great to see him fighting the likes of Mario and Peach with an amusing move set. "That worm deserves to be in a good beat 'em, up. He would have so many moves and his Final Smash could see the cow dropping on your opponent," says ploiper. Although, having starred in ClayFighter, this wouldn't be Jim's first appearance in a beat 'em up. Still, we like the idea and while we're on old school heroes, how about a spot for ToeJam & Earl?
Neku Sakuruba: Suggested by KrikenKing The World Ends With You is a game that's very popular in the ONM forums so it's no surprise to see Neku being suggested. KrikenKing thinks he would make an interesting character: "While obviously lacking in physical ability, he makes up for it with a powerful set of pins. Maybe a selection of different pin sets could be implemented as well. For the Final Smash, a fusion partner (Shiki, Joshua or Beat) should be randomly selected to rain mass chaos on foes." Brilliant. And while we're at it, could we have the ace music on the soundtrack?
King from Little King's Story: Suggested by super yoshifan Great choice. Little King's Story is one of our favourite Wii games of the year and we're glad to see that it's not just us who has fallen for its charm! We could imagine him being like the Pokémon Trainer and getting others to do his work for him. This is something that's not lost on super yoshifan. "The Final Smash could be sending your people to attack while you just stand there," he says. But who would you send in? We like the idea of little soldiers running around and hacking at Bowser's ankles. Or maybe the archers could keep their distance and fire at everyone on screen.

What about Rosalina? She has much more experience than peach or daisy! Her Stage could be the observatory obviously! Her attack could be like King DeeDeeDees waddle dee throw and her final smash would be Zero Gravity where all the player float away from the stage and when it wears off they fall to their deaths heeheehee! :D
wat about Majoras Mask Link? with the Zora, Goron and Deku Scrub masks and most importantly, the Fierce Deity mask! plus, it wud be similar to SSBM wer he cud hav a completely different sword and shield to the other Links. and wat about simply the Fierce Deity? come on, hes like a frickin GOD! and maybe even the Skull Kid. he cud teleport like in TP, temporarily turn ppl into deku scrubs like in MM and cud turn into Majoras Wrath by puttin on Majoras Mask. his final smash wud be bringin down the Moon on everyone! plus he has a freaky laugh...
I have to admit that i do love some of the characters in the new list like shyguy.
However i still think that the following should have been considered:
Ristar: Final Smash: Shooting Star Grabs opponent and head smashes them off screen.
Dynamite Heady: Final Smash: Head Casket He changes his head to one of his other heads ie the bomb or vaccum head OR have that "target" thing that helps on the bosses come in an pokes every character onscreen with the spear hes always holding
Le Chuck: Final Smash: Voodoo Root Toss He grapples the opponent and does a multiple floor smash then lifts them with the power of voodoo and throws them off screen (like mewtwos attack in smash bros melee)
Guybrush Threepwood: Final Smash: Monkey Kombat He calls in a load of monkeys that trample the stage followed by a the huge metal monkey from monkey Island 4.
Sam &/or max: Final Smash: Joy Ride Sam and/or Max can run off screen and jump in to their cop car and drive all over the stage flinging them off the stage (a bit like the FZero stage in melee)
