The BBC and Nintendo will launch a new iPlayer channel for Wii on 18 November. Until now you have only been able to watch the iPlayer through the Wii's internet channel but from next week you'll be able to download a dedicated iPlayer channel which promises to offer a better and higher quality service.
This new version of BBC iPlayer for Wii now has a full screen user interface which will enable families to watch TV and listen to radio together on their televisions.
To use the new BBC iPlayer on the Wii, you need to download the BBC iPlayer Wii Channel from the menu screen of the Wii Shop Channel. Once downloaded, you just need to click on the BBC iPlayer icon to launch the new full screen service, then select and play your favourite BBC TV or radio programme.

David Yarnton, General Manager of Nintendo UK, said "Our partnership with the BBC is another way in which Nintendo is looking to broaden the market for its products by offering compelling and relevant content to families. BBC iPlayer offers Wii owners another reason to turn their console on every day and adds to the already established non gaming content on Wii that includes Wii Channels for news, weather forecasts and an internet browser."
Let us know if you'll download the new iPlayer channel. What will you watch first?
