Yesterday Nintendo confirmed that Pokémon Rumble would be available from today but what else has joined it in the Wii and DS shops?

Well, Shootanto: Evolutionary Mayhem is today's other WiiWare release while A Little Bit of... All-Time Classics: Strategy Games, Uno, Army Defender and myNotebook: Blue are out on DSiWare. There is no Virtual Console release this week.

Pokémon Rumble

Pokémon Rumble (Nintendo, 1,500 Points) is this week's biggest release. As you may already know, it puts you in control of Toy Pokémon who battle against waves of enemy Pokémon in a bid to become the last Pokémon standing. When you defeat some Toy Pokémon, you can befriend them and add them to your collection. As you play, you can switch between any Pokémon you've befriended and use their abilities to defeat stronger Pokémon. As your Pokémon collection grows, you may compete in the Battle Royale and test your skills against lots of Pokémon all at once. You can play on your own or with four people.

Shootanto: Evolutionary Mayhem (Hudson, 500 Wii Points) is this week's other WiiWare release. In this bizarre game you play as a monkey fighting for supremacy in the jungle. It plays like a point and shoot lightgun-style blaster but your first weapon is your own poo! As you take down swarms of giant insects, prehistoric snakes and lizardmen your monkey will evolve into an ape-man.

A Little Bit of... All-Time Classics: Strategy Games (Nintendo, 500 Nintendo DSi points) presents another selection of games from the DS original. They are: Backgammon, Field Tactics, Turncoat, Connect Five and Grid Attack.

Uno (Gameloft, 500 Nintendo DSi Points) brings the world famous card game to DSi. It features a multiplayer mode that can be accessed by DS Wireless Play or Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, and you can customise the game with your own house rules and penalties.

Army Defender (Mindscape, 200 DSi Points) has you defending your army base against hordes of invading enemies. You'll need to use all the weapons at your disposal to survive attacks from soldiers, tanks, parachute troops, combat helicopters, fighter planes, bombers and elite forces. If the situation becomes desperate, you can always use an atomic bomb.

myNotebook: Blue (Nnooo, 200 DSi Points) transforms your DSi into a notebook. All you need to do is open your Nintendo DSi and jot down your thoughts.
