Zelda Spirit Tracks: Multiplayer And Temple Details

See the Blizzard Temple in action...
There's less than a month to go until Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks hits the shops and Nintendo is building up to the release of the biggest DS game of the year by feeding us some temple and multiplayer details.

The Blizzard temple is ruled by the Master of Icy Fire and, as you can see in the new video below, you'll be guiding Link through the ice and snow and using your frozen boomerang to put our icy flames. You can also melt snow by flinging your boomerang through flames while drawing paths through the water will create ice bridges.

In this temple you need to solve a musical puzzle so you'll be positioning magical bells in different sequences and hitting them with your sword to produce different melodies.

As for the multiplayer action, three friends can join you in the Battle Mode which features six battle arenas, each containing different hazards and characteristics. The idea is to collect more Force Gems than your opponents and you can hit your enemy with lightning bolts, become temporarily invincible, place hidden pitfalls and conjure additional Force Gems.
Battle Arenas include Ancient Earth, where changing game environments will keep you on your toes, the Fire Arena where you'll have to switch sides to avoid the molten lava flow, and Shadow Stage where the arena floor is sensitive to loud footsteps, making it easy for the Phantoms to locate you. Other arenas include Icy Plains and Scorched Battlefield.

Do you like the sound of the new temple and multiplayer modes? Don't forget that you can read our review of The Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks in issue 50 of Official Nintendo Magazine which is on sale now...
