DSi XL (or 'LL' as it's klnown in the Far East) launched in Japan this weekend and Nintendo fans formed modest queues outside shops in Tokyo.
Famitsu reports that approximately a hundred customers queued outside Akihabara's Yodobashi Camera for the launch of the handheld, while down the road at Bic Camera a further 60 customers formed a line.
According to Famitsu, a high number of 20 and 30-year-olds turned up to get their hands on the new hardware, including business women, couples, parents with children and one elderly lady. The new console comes with Brain Training software built in.

The DSi XL is due to launch in Europe in the first quarter of 2010 and sports larger 4.2 inch screens, greater battery life and a second pen-like stylus.
