New Super Mario Bros. and Assassin's Creed II were released on Friday but neither game could topple the mighty Modern Warfare 2 from top spot in the UK charts.
Modern Warfare 2 remains the UK's number one in the face of some strong competition. New Super Mario Bros. Wii went straight in at number two behind Assassin's Creed 2.
Despite failing to claim the top spot it has still been a good week for Nintendo with Wii Sports Resort, Wii Fit Plus and Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Winter Games joining NSMB Wii in the top ten.
