Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver will be released for DS in the UK on 26 March, just under two weeks after the US launch on the 14th.
Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver is a remake of the Game Boy Color adventures (Pokémon Gold/Silver) which were originally released in the UK in April 2001
This means players will be invited back to the Johto region to take on Team Rocket and, of course, catch 'em all. The new game boasts updated DS visuals and this time you'll be able to select a Pokémon from your team to follow you around.
The game will come bundled with the Pokéwalker pedometer accessory. You can transfer a Pokémon from your team to your Pokéwalker and as you walk around in the real world, your Pokémon will walk around a virtual route and earn Watts.

Watts are used within the Pokéwalker to help you find and catch wild Pokémon using the Poké Radar or to search for hidden items using the Dowsing Machine, which can then be transferred into Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version.
You can select which route within the Pokéwalker you would like to walk along such as plains or the sea and each route has different wild Pokémon to encounter and catch, and some special Pokémon can only be found within certain routes. The Pokéwalker communicates with your Nintendo DS with infrared and if you and a friend connect your Pokéwalker together, you both receive a game item as a gift.

Woah! Didn't expect that, after yesterdays news I just had a feeling that we were getting it about may. I don't remember a fully fledged pokemon game coming out in Europe just two weeks after the US (what with all the different languages). I might play the gbc original to re-fresh my mind on the lay-out and gym leaders. You know, to make comparisons between the two, just to see what's changed.
