Professor Layton and The Unwound Future will be released in Europe in October. That's the word from Nintendo who announced that the final game in the puzzle trilogy in their financial forecasts.
The Unwound Future is the third and final game in the original trilogy. However, the series has proved so popular in Japan that a prequel trilogy is already underway with The Specter's Flute being released last year.
This new game begins with Layton and Luke receiving a letter from Luke himself. What's more it is dated ten years in the future. The message is clear - London is in disarray in the future and only Layton can sort it out.
Together with Luke, he has to solve 165 logic puzzles and riddles and as with previous games it will feature downloadable puzzles. There's also a new super hint option for those who are still stuck after three puzzles.
