A video streaming technology company has said it may be bringing LOVEFiLM's streaming movie service to the Wii.
A deal was recently done between LOVEFiLM and Widevine, an American company who makes streaming video available on various platforms.
For those not in the know, LOVEFiLM is an online DVD rental site, but they also have a library of over 4000 films and TV shows available for streaming, free of charge to anyone who's already signed up to one of their disc rental services. So far though this has only been available on PCs and Macs.
Speaking to EDGE Online, Widevine said that LOVEFiLM content on the Wii and PS3 were "short-term roadmaps", meaning they could be on the way very soon.
Basically, this means that if you're a LOVEFiLM subscriber you could be seeing a LOVEFiLM Channel on your Wii much like the BBC iPlayer Channel available just now.
