TV Show King

80s-style Quiz Show hits WiiWare
TV Show King is like one of those pub quiz machines that have eaten up far too much of our money after a couple of pints. It's addictive, it's fun with four players and robs you just when you think you've won.

It's a mock television-style quiz show that looks like it could have been on ITV in the 80s. The presentation is spot-on right down the presenter's dreadful hair-do and his bimbo sidekick.

As for the questions, we're talking a Millionaire-style multiple choice quiz with the first player to answer gaining maximum points. When each round ends you're given the chance to win more cash by spinning the wheel but you could just as easily lose the lot. We can already envisage Remotes being chucked to the floor in living rooms up and down the country...

Despite regularly cheating you, TV Show King is enjoyable and at 1,000 Wii Points is far cheaper than that other Wii quiz game, Smartypants. Not to mention those infernal pub quiz machines.

It sounds like it should be rubbish but, in fact, TV Show King is good family fun. It's cheaper than Trivial Pursuit, too.
  Plenty of questions
  Superb presentation
  It can get challenging
  Good fun for four players
  Spinning the wheel is random
