Nintendo has announced its summer release schedule and the big news is that Punch-Out will be released for Wii in May.
This new Wii game is the first new Punch-Out game to be released for a Nintendo console for 15 years. The first Punch-Out (Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!) game was released for NES in 1987 with a SNES sequel following in 1994.
Punch-Out!! follows the story of Little Mac, an up-and-coming boxer from the Bronx, NY, on his way to becoming the boxing World Champion.
Also on the release schedule are two more New Play Control titles. Pikmin 2 will be released on 24 April while Donkey Kong Jungle Beat will follow in June. Other Wii highlights include Guitar Hero: Metallica , Virtua Tennis 2009, Another Code R, The Conduit and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes Of Time.

As for DS, the biggest release of the summer will undoubtedly be Pokémon Platinum on 22 May but before then, you can look forward to Rhythm Paradise of 1 May.
In Rhythm Heaven, you use the stylus to tap, flick or slide the Touch Screen in time with a rhythm or cue - the more closely the beat is followed, the higher the player is ranked. Rhythm Paradise offers off-the-wall characters, graphics and more than 50 music based mini-games and rhythm toys.
