Art Attack

A personal plea: buy the Art Style games!
Today I'm going to present you with a plea: please try some of the Art Style games!

I'm getting tired of people moaning about how there's nothing decent on DSiWare because some of the Art Style games (in particular PiCOPiCT and KuBos) are among the most addictive games I've played so far this year.

I really don't know why more people aren't trying these games out. They're pretty cheap, they're easy to learn, and most of them offer completely original, unique gameplay experiences that offer a fantastic change to the usual "racing game, platform game, fighting game, RPG" stuff that dominates the gaming scene these days.

Take Art Style: PiCOPiCT for example. It's a great mix of Tetris and Picross with some great retro graphics and fantastic remixed music. I played it non-stop for weeks when it came out: for only 500 Points it's a fantastic deal.

Same with Art Style: KuBos, which is the game that's currently booted up every single time I switch my DSi on. It's a cross between a puzzle game and a platformer and it's just one of the most addictive things I've played in ages.

If you haven't got into Art Style yet, I urge you: download either PiCOPiCT or KuBos if you have a DSi, or get either Orbient or Cubello if you prefer to go down the WiiWare route. If you enjoy them PLEASE spread the word. If you're on a forum and you see people saying there aren't good games on the DSi, tell them about the Art Style games. I really think they're being grossly under-appreciated because these are truly original, experimental and creative games, and if people don't show them the attention they deserve we're going to be stuck with generic racing and platform games in the future.
